Clotrimazole and Beclomethasone Dipropionate is a combination of an azole antifungal and corticosteroid.

Mechanism of Action:

Beclometasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi on the skin by preventing them from forming their own protective covering.

Indications:

Beclomethasone Dipropionate & Clotrimazole is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:

  • Relief of itching, burning, cracking, and scaling associated with      

T. Cruris, T. Corporis & T. Pedis

  • Treatment of T. Corporis
  • Treatment of T. Cruris
  • Treatment of T. Pedis
  • Prevention of oral thrush
  • Fungal infections of armpit and skin folds

Application:

This medication is to be applied externally. Apply it on the infected area as a thin layer with clean and dry hands. Be careful not to touch your eyes or nose with it on your hands. If it reaches the eyes or nose, rinse it thoroughly with water until it washes off completely.

  • It is for use on skin only. Do not use it in your eyes, mouth, or vagina. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas.
  • Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
  • If you think the area of skin you are treating has become more irritated and infected, you should stop using Skivate C Lotion and consult your doctor.
  • Do not use this medicine more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Inform your doctor if the treated skin area does not improve after 2 weeks of treatment.
